About 40 activists gathered at Baywalk in downtown St. Petersburg for a
protest on New Year's eve. In spite of the drunkiness of many
people passing by (and one phyiscal assault on a demonstrator) the
message that we will continue to demand an immediate withdrawl of
forces from Iraq and a foreign policy based on peace and equality came
through loud and clear.
