On Saturday, April 29, St. Pete for Peace and St. Pete Food Not Bombs are hosting “Paws for Peace” in the spirit of solidarity with that day’s United for Peace and Justice anti-war mobilization in New York City.  Paws for Peace will highlight the devastating human toll taken by war and oppression, and draw attention to the broader violence war inflicts upon animals, the environment and the planet.  And this time our four-legged companions will be joining us in protest!

Bring your peace pet to join us in a march against war and for the rights of all living beings Saturday, April 29th at 10am at Round Lake
in St. Petersburg.  There will be music, tabling by local peace and animal rights groups and plenty of treats for the dogs.

THE MARCH WILL BEGIN AT 11:00AM

This will be a chance to bring out the whole family for a day of taking a stand against war and for sharing compassion with all of Earth’s creatures.   There will also be prizes awarded for the dogs and owners with the best anti-war message.

EVENT TABLING
We hope you will join us and bring a table with literature and information about your group.  There is no charge to set up a table - our goal is to provide an opportunity for people to get the word out about their projects and to network with others.

If you would like to table at our event or if you need further information, please drop us a line at marianne@stpeteforpeace.org.  Hope to see you there!

If you have any questions please contact lynn@stpeteforpeace.org, carol@stpeteforpeace.org or jim@stpeteforpeace.org.

(Note: there will not be a protest at Baywalk that evening)

*We were unable to obtain a permit for Crescent Lake.  Instead, we will have a permitted event at Round Lake.  Sorry for the confusion.
