BRIDGING PEACE

After a
getting-acquainted potluck, St Pete for Peace and Progressive Democrats of
America (Pinellas) joined forces with Florida Peace Action Network in
Pasco County to protest the war and Bush's recent executive orders.
Protesters gathered on the Pithlachascotee River bridge overlooking a
busy 6-lane road, and with signs such as "HONK FOR IMPEACHMENT" and
"WAKE UP AMERICA, OUR GOV'T IS FAILING US," response was surprisingly and overwhelmingly positive.
Honking in support of our messages was heard throughout the afternoon
and one individual stopped, parked her car and joined in the protest.
